The 12XU label is being dragged back into semi-operation for the release of 'Casual Victim Pile II', an 18-band, all-Austin compilation coming out on ltd. edition 180gr. white vinyl* on February 22. 17 of the 18 songs are previously unreleased and participants include the following :
6 of the above feature one or more alumni from the 2010 Matador Records 'Casual Victim Pile' 2XLP/CD compilation but perhaps of greater interest is that several have either released new records in the past few months (Cruddy, Simple Circuit, Hatchet Wound, Crisis Hotlines, Literature, A Giant Dog, The Dead Space, Serious Tracers, The Zoltars) or have something ready to roll in early 2011 (OBN III's, Rayon Beach, Women In Prison, A Giant Dog).
Much like last year, Austin's Beerland will be hosting a 3 night series of shows for CVP II featuring most, if not all of the above bands, March 3, 4 and 5.
There are no plans for subsequent releases via 12XU. But stranger things have happened.
We're now accepting preorders for the white vinyl LP version (and the lower grade black vinyl once the white supply is depleted). Prices are postpaid for North American orders.
